mono-basic-dbg software package provides Mono Visual Basic, debugging symbols, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install mono-basic-dbg
mono-basic-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the mono-basic-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep mono-basic-dbg *
You will get with mono-basic-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
